In Calgary, there are many tourist attractions that you can find but one attraction that stand among all of them where both adults and children can enjoy and that is the Calgary Zoo. The Calgary Zoo is a home of 1,000 animals and in which every person would like to witness. They have a new addition to their family the Penguin Plunge where they feature four species of penguins. Kids would enjoy looking at some the animals that are gathered in Calgary Zoo. The place would teach your children about some of the animals that are found in the other side of the world, know what they look like, and give importance to Mother Nature in the process. So the place will not only entertain them but it will also teach them about the animal kingdom. This is also a good opportunity for adults to learn a thing or two about some animals and that we only see in books.

Aside from the animals, they also have activities for visitors such as storytelling, show how to take care of animals like bathing them, and many more. Some of the events are free but there are some that requires separate admission fee aside from the entrance fee.

1. Calaway Park – Calaway Park is a great family attraction. It is located at 245033 Range Rd. 33. It is the largest outdoor amusement park in Western Canada. You can enjoy so many family thrill rides like the Aeromax, The Adrenaline Test Zone, Chaos and Cosmic Spin. They even have live stage shows that the whole family can enjoy. The park has street performers like jugglers, stilt walkers and clowns. There are five main restaurants inside the park with so many fantastic fun foods for everybody. In Calaway Park, it’s about family fun!

2. Calgary Zoo – If you want to see animals from all over the world, then Calgary Zoo is the place for you. It is located at 1300 Zoo Rd. N.E. Check out the gorillas, hippos and bears. They even have Prehistoric Park for an experience back in time. They have several playgrounds and train rides that your little kids will love. You can visit the eateries, retail shops and botanical gardens inside the zoo. A fun place for the whole family.

3. Canada Olympic Park – For great family fun in the snow, you should head on down to Canada Olympic Park. This winter time attraction is great for skiing, snowboarding and bobsleighing. During the summer time, you can explore their bike trails and even try their zip line.

Calgary has no shortage of great family fun attractions. Just plan ahead so you’ll have activities that the whole family can enjoy.

If you are travelling by air the very first time in your life I’d really like that you look at a few tips:
-Make sure all your papers are in order. You must have a passport if you’re travelling around the world and you might require your health insurance papers if you’re travelling within your country, in the event of an urgent situation. #2. Olympic Plaza

Olympic Plaza is a beautiful addition to our city. Having originally been built as the venue for the medal ceremonies at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, it feels like we’ve come full circle after having celebrated the cross-country Olympic Torch Relay here last week.

I swear to you, every single person who lives in Calgary was jam packed in the plaza and the excitement and pride of our fellow Calgarians was unmistakable.

In the summer, The Olympic Plaza hosts concerts and festivals and in the winter, it’s used as a public skating rink.

We are very lucky to have such a beautiful area right downtown Calgary and we’re even more lucky that it is accessible via the C-Train (Via both the Olympic Plaza stop and the City Hall stop).

I’m definitely one proud Calgarian, and it’s places like these that really seal the deal for me.

Perfect place to walk around and relax, or a great starting place for a jog. If you are jogging, head west and cross at any of the bridges for a good loop. The park itself is an inner city jem which usually has events and activities going on during the summer.

I’ve driven by The Military Museums a thousand times but it never occured to me that this would be something to do with my kids. With their mother’s blessing, and help from a deal on TeamBuy, I decide to escape the 4 feet of snow and test the museum out.

My children are aged between 7 and 12 years old and I am amazed to say that each of them had an awesome time. It was educational AND entertaining. I could imagine spending an entire day there myself and still find myself coming back again. It gave me a greater appreciation of historical as well as current sacrifices that are made on a daily basis. If you are looking for an inexpensive activity for the whole family I would highly recommend The Military Museums.
